大倉山のレストラン『kayagi』の内装設計。
最小限の解体をした居抜き物件にオーバーレイするように必要な仕上を施す。
汎用的な仕上材も施工方法にわずかな変化を与える事で価値転換を試みている。
榧木のカウンターが程よい距離を保ちながら、スタッフとの会話や料理を楽しむ。特別な演出ではなく、日々の繰り返しの中にあるわずかな変化を感じ取るための器である。
Interior design for the restaurant “kayagi” in Okurayama.
Working with an existing leased space, only the necessary finishes were introduced, gently layered over the retained interior with minimal demolition.
Even standard materials are reinterpreted through subtle changes in their application.
A kaya wood counter creates a comfortable distance, allowing guests to enjoy both conversation with the chef and the food.
Rather than relying on special effects, the space is conceived as a vessel for perceiving the subtle changes that emerge within the rhythms of everyday life.
